Safety Guidelines for Mopping the Floor

1. Prepare the Equipment

• Mop

• Bucket

• Floor cleaner (choose according to the type of floor)

• “Wet Floor” warning sign

2. Cleaning Procedure

• Sweep the floor first to remove dust and debris.

• Mix the floor cleaner with water according to the instructions on the label.

• Dip the mop into the solution, wring it until damp, then mop the floor in straight lines in one direction.

• For heavily soiled floors, mop twice.

• Allow the floor to dry and store all equipment properly.

3. Safety Precautions

• Place a “Caution: Wet Floor” sign to prevent slips and falls.

• Wear non-slip shoes.

• Avoid using overly concentrated chemicals, as they may be harmful to the skin and respiratory system.
